At Planthopper, our mission is to lower the cost of organic produce through cost-effective biological pesticides (BPs). BPs are safer for pollinators, humans, and animals alike while still offering organic farmers the protection they need.
Founded in 2023, Planthopper has been innovating in the biopesticide space ever since. We have a proven track record of successful campaigns and initiatives that have helped to improve the health of our planet.

Thomas’ knowledge of laboratory studies and best practices will produce accurate and actionable data collection which will prove vital in the production of marketable products.

He is a graduate of NJIT’s School of Management with both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degrees. His Master’s studies were in Global Project Management which focused on product life cycles from idea inception to market. His initial idea to solve the spotted lanternfly infestation, while shelfed, led to the team’s creation and exploration into alternate approaches which can are readily deployable.

Upon relocating back to the Northeast Chelsea was employed by a WMBE working directly in support of the Director of World Trade Center Construction. She understands the importance of making those around her comfortable and safe. This allows her peers to be open and to challenge norms or ideas, creating an ecosystem of innovation. She brings a highly ambitious and spirited attitude to all problems which contributes to Planthopper’s continued perseverance for a marketable solution to the spotted lanternfly plight.
